welcome to creolux: where creativity knows no bounds.

story:
hi, i’m lux, the creator of creolux.  i’m not an expert, and i don’t claim to be.  everything i know, i’ve taught myself through years of curiosity, persistence, and a deep desire to create.  i’ve spent countless hours digging rabbit holes in libraries, blogs, tiktok, youtube, and anywhere else i could find knowledge that was often out of reach for me.  formal education wasn’t always an option, but that didn’t stop me from learning.

creolux was born out of my frustration with the barriers society (and capitalism...) puts up around certain skills and crafts.  whether it’s sewing, woodworking, baking, or car maintenance, these activities are often boxed in by gender roles, financial restrictions, or simple accessibility issues.  i wanted to create a space where those barriers don’t exist—a space where anyone can learn anything without feeling like they don’t belong.

mission:
at creolux, my mission is simple: to inspire others to create and to show that you don’t need special qualifications or expensive tools to get started.  everyone has the right to learn and grow, no matter who you are or where you come from, regardless of gender identity, experience, or background.  i believe that everyone has the right to create and be their own light.

values:
• learning together: i'm not here to teach as an expert; i'm here to learn (and sometimes fail) alongside you.  every project is a chance for us to grow together.
• inclusivity: this is a space for everyone--no stereotypes, no gatekeeping.

• accessibility: creativity should be within reach for anyone who wants it.

how i operate:
on this site (and beyond), you’ll find step-by-step tutorials on everything from sewing and baking to woodworking and more.  some projects are things i’ve practiced for years; others are things i’m trying for the very first time.  if there’s something you want to learn but feel like you can’t because of who you are or what resources you have access to, let’s figure it out together.

a note from me:
i don’t know better than anyone else—i’m just someone who’s willing to try, fail, and try again until i figure it out.  my hope is that by sharing what i’ve learned (and am still learning), i can inspire you to do the same.  let’s break down barriers together, find that light inside each and every one of us, and create something amazing.

call-to-action:
join me on this journey of learning and light. let’s craft, create, and challenge norms—together.
